We especially enjoyed the outside areas where we spent the majority of our time. There is a neighborhood/porch cat that hung around. We named her Jacqueline and she was wonderful.
There is a beautiful breeze on the porch. We did get a few mosquito bites, but nowhere near any other island I've stayed at.
The kitchen is small but well stocked. The breakfast items that were left as a gift saved us a lot of grief as we arrived quite late. Breakfast for dinner was delicious.
We had a bit of difficulty getting in to the house as the instruction note was left in French, but after some google translate we managed to get sorted out. The very nice lady we called also didn't speak English, but did race out to help us. We had figured it out by then, but it was still kind of her.
The home is very private and quiet. It's about a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach. Maybe 10 minutes into Deshaies for dinner. 20 minutes to the Super U in Sainte Rose. We found it very easy to get around.
The driveway was very steep, we did not bother to drive up it. If you have some older guests this could be a deterrent. My mom is 73 and did not love the hike up. :)
